Overview
Tyler Compton is an attorney in Bricker Graydon’s Public Finance Group and has a practice focused on economic development projects, including commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) financing, new community authorities (NCA), tax increment financing (TIF), community reinvestment areas (CRA), and joint economic development districts (JEDD). He provides general counsel services to energy special improvement districts and lender’s counsel to organizations that finance the energy efficiency projects through PACE. Tyler also has experience with state and local tax, including sales and use tax, and frequently represents port authorities on sales and use tax exemption projects and bond fund capital lease transactions.
Ty is a 2018 graduate of The Ohio State University's Moritz College of Law. While at OSU, he served as business editor of the Ohio State Journal on Dispute Resolution and as vice president of the school’s Sport and Entertainment Law Association.
