Overview
Bo Brownlee brings over three decades of experience in corporate and real estate law back to Bricker Graydon, where he previously served as a partner. After nearly 18 years as General Counsel, and then eventually as the Chief Development Office at Lifestyle Communities (LC), Bo returns to Bricker Graydon bringing with him a wealth of knowledge in business operations, leadership, and high-profile negotiations. His tenure at LC was marked by significant achievements in managing multi-state teams and navigating complex legal challenges. At Bricker Graydon, Bo focuses his practice in the areas of real estate law and corporate law.
Turing his tenure at LC, Bo spent much of his time focused on all aspects of real estate development for a fast-growing multi-family developer (including acquisitions, dispositions, zoning, preconstruction, land development, construction, litigation and property management). In addition, the LC family of companies included several affiliates that operated outside the real estate industry that required substantial legal representation and business leadership (including in the energy management and hospitality industries). Consequently, much of Bo’s legal practice during his time at LC can be more accurately described as general corporate and business law.
Bo’s real estate practice focuses on assisting clients with the acquisition, sale and leasing of real property. He has experience negotiating and/or drafting purchase and sale contracts, easements, leases, and construction and permanent financing documents. Bo also advises clients in all aspects of real estate due diligence, including title and survey review, environmental, zoning and other use and development considerations. Bo’s corporate practice focuses on advising primarily privately-held companies on general legal matters, including formation, financing, risk management, contract review and dispute resolution.
Bo’s return to Bricker Graydon strengthens the firm's experience in corporate and real estate matters, as he resumes his role with a fresh perspective shaped by his in-house experience.
