Teresa Orahood is a paralegal specializing in public utility and administrative law with an emphasis on state public utility regulatory and power board siting proceedings. With more than 44 years of experience, including litigation support, the preparation of legal documents, and legal research, she regularly monitors activities before the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO), the Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB), the Ohio Supreme Court and the Kentucky Electric Generation and Transmission Siting Board (Kentucky Board.)
Teresa is skilled in the electronic filing of applications and compliance documents with the PUCO, the OPSB, and the Kentucky Board. Additionally, she regularly provides support in the preparation and filing of OPSB applications for authority to build solar farms, wind farms, and natural gas generating facilities, and accelerated OPSB construction notice and letter of notification applications. In addition to providing support for Ohio applications, Teresa provides support in the preparation and filing of Kentucky Board applications for authority to build solar farms. Teresa is also skilled in the preparation and filing of initial and renewal applications for certification to provide competitive retail electric service and retail natural gas services in the state of Ohio, along with the required PUCO reporting requirements associated with the certifications.

Assistant with finalization of application and exhibits including the filing of the application and associated filings for the processing of the application in both Ohio and Kentucky.
Electric Generation Plant
Assisted in closing in excess of $500 million of debt and equity financing for the construction of an Ohio-based 800 MW electric generation plant on behalf of an energy company. This transaction involved dozens of parties including lenders, equity investors, land sellers, railroads, gas pipeline companies, governmental entities, a title insurer, and others.

Teresa is a vibrant and community-oriented individual whose passion for life is evident through her love for cycling. With a penchant for adventure, Teresa spends her leisure time pedaling through the scenic landscapes, covering an impressive 50 to 60 miles each week on her beloved bike.
Beyond her active lifestyle, Teresa is a dedicated community leader with a strong sense of responsibility. She has served as both the former treasurer and vice president of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grove City, Ohio. Her commitment to the church extends beyond her past roles, as she remains actively engaged in various ministries, contributing to the spiritual and social fabric of the community. Adding to her love for community, she also volunteers at various events at the Ohio Village and Ohio History Museum.
