Overview
Kelly Walker is an attorney in Bricker Graydon’s Education (Pre-K to 12) group, bringing over a decade of experience in K-12 education with a focus on regulatory compliance and special education law. She has extensive knowledge of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA) and regularly advises local and state educational agencies on navigating complex federal and state requirements.
Prior to joining Bricker Graydon, Kelly worked at the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce where she played an instrumental role in shaping agency policies, leading multi-agency initiatives, and proposing practical, forward-thinking legal solutions. Her collaborative spirit and sharp legal insight make her a valuable resource for school districts and educational institutions across the region.
She is passionate about supporting community-driven leadership and equity in education. Kelly frequently participates in statewide and national workgroups dedicated to improving dispute resolution in special education and enjoys collaborating with other leaders in the field to drive positive change in educational systems.
