Cecily is a Paralegal of the Firm’s Litigation Practice Support Group. She has 10 years of experience handling a range of litigation matters in areas of complex civil, employment, tort, and eviction. She thrives in the fast-paced, multitasking, ever-evolving field. Cecily assists a group of over 10+ attorneys with drafting pleadings and motions, filing in State and Federal courts, and preparing them for mediations and trials.

Cecily resides in Norwood with her husband, Sina, daughter Leila, and 60 lb. Black Mouth Cur dog, Doja. She enjoys traveling and trying new restaurants and cocktail bars.

Originally from a small border town in Texas, Cecily is a product of her Mexican American roots. She grew up very close to her family and was raised in a humble Catholic household. She says, “My mother and grandmother pushed me and my siblings to be the best we could be because they wanted more for us. My academics always came first and bringing home a “B” was not good enough. I was the first of my family to leave home and attend college in San Antonio. That was a huge accomplishment.”

Being from Texas, Cecily enjoys the summer sun! She loves being outdoors whether it’s hiking, laying by a body of water, taking her daughter and dog to the park, or just sitting on a patio. “Being outdoors brings me joy and puts me at ease. There is something about a sunny day, birds chirping, colorful flowers, and a cold beverage that makes me happy” she says.

Cecily and her husband like to consider themselves “food lovers” and spend their time going to farmer’s markets to pick up ingredients to cook a new meal or try new restaurants. They appreciate the food scene Cincinnati has to offer and are excited about the variety of ethnic foods coming to the Queen City.
