Overview
Ben Yoder’s practice revolves around representation of Ohio townships and municipalities, with particular focus in the areas of general counsel, land use and zoning, and real estate litigation. Ben serves as law director for the City of Middletown (Ohio), City of Franklin (Ohio), Deerfield Township (Warren County, Ohio), and Hamilton Township (Warren County, Ohio). Moreover, as special zoning counsel to a variety of additional Southwest Ohio local governments, he is experienced in comprehensive planning, zoning code/resolution drafting, map and text amendments, planned unit developments, conditional uses, variances, code enforcement, and generalized staff consultation.
Ben also represents a number of local school districts, private developers, businesses and property owners with regard to real estate taxes, development and land use disputes. He counsels these clients on ad valorem tax litigation, complex zoning-related commercial due diligence work, zoning permit approval procurement, eminent domain, administrative appeals, and injunctive and generalized litigation matters.
Outside of the office, Ben is heavily involved in the Warren County, Ohio civic, charitable and leadership communities. He serves on the Board of Commissioners for the Warren County Park District and the Board of Directors for the Area Progress Council of Warren County. Ben has served on many of Warren County’s preeminent not-for-profit boards.
