Overview
With experience in both law and architecture, Leah Thorsen collaborates with her team and her clients in the procurement of Ohio public design and construction contracts. She is specifically skilled in the areas of construction and real estate law, construction litigation support, architectural design and drafting, legal analysis, research and writing. She is also well-versed in both the Ohio Revised Code and the Ohio Administrative Code, especially as it applies to construction and real estate transactions.
A former law clerk with the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission, Leah has supported a variety of projects undertaken by agencies, school districts and cultural centers. She has experience reviewing, interpreting and amending Ohio public design and construction contracts, as well as preparing legal documents. This includes correspondence, memoranda, claim evaluations, mediation statements and commission resolutions. In this role, she also provided support throughout the claims and dispute process.
