Most Real Estate Documents Can Still Be Recorded During the COVID-19 Pandemic

COVID-19 continues to progress and change the way we are conducting business. States are issuing stay at home orders and drastic changes in state and federal law are being made. We have been keeping up with these changes, and are happy to announce that despite sweeping closures of Clerk’s and Recorder’s physical offices across the country, Graydon can still facilitate the electronic recording of your business’s real estate documents, including deeds, memoranda of lease, easements, and mortgages, in many jurisdictions.

While most county recording offices are currently closed to the public, many of those offices – including the Butler County, Clermont County, Hamilton County and Warren County, Ohio Recorders – are continuing to accept documents for recording electronically, without the physical passing of papers or physical contact with recording office staff. All documents must still meet the applicable formatting and other recording requirements and are physically checked for compliance by the county’s staff upon e-submission.
