MetLife's SIFI designation deemed improper by a U.S. Federal Court
Today, a U.S. Federal Court deemed the government’s designation of MetLife as a non-bank Systemically Important Financial Institution (SIFI) as improper. This is a a big win for MetLife in its ongoing battle with the Financial Stability Oversight Council.
