Local law firm expands education practice, adds two seasoned attorneys to Columbus office
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Bricker & Eckler LLP recently welcomed two new education and public sector-focused attorneys to the firm: Nicole Donovsky and Rick Ross.
“We are thrilled to welcome Rick and Nicole to our education law practice,” said Laura Anthony, chair of Bricker’s Education practice group. “Their personality, talent and experience serving public sector clients make them a great addition to our team.”
Donovsky has worked as an Ohio-based education law attorney since 2002. Her service to the education legal community includes serving as the chair elect for the Ohio Council of School Board Attorneys Executive Committee and as a member of the National School Boards Association Council of School Attorneys. In addition, she has been listed in Rising Stars as one of the top attorneys in Ohio in 2012 and 2013. Nicole has both her undergraduate and law degrees from Capital University.
Ross has nearly 36 years of experience practicing public sector law. He earned his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and earned his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. He served as Assistant Attorney General for the State of Ohio for nine years, with two years as Section Chief of the Charitable Foundations Section. In 1987, he went into private practice where he focused on all aspects of education law, including litigation, administrative agency practice, employee and labor relations, and special education. His involvement in the legal community also includes formerly serving on the Executive Committee of the Ohio Council of School Board Attorneys.
