Jerry Allen receives 2019 Capital University Distinguished Alumnus Award
Bricker attorney Jerry Allen has been recognized by his alma mater Capital University as a 2019 Distinguished Alumnus. A graduate of both Capital University (1975) and Capital University Law School (1984), Jerry has built a robust legal career while actively engaging in community leadership and service.
The Distinguished Alumnus Awards are granted annually to celebrate the outstanding accomplishments and exemplary service of university alumni. Specifically, this achievement recognizes notable professional achievement and profound service to humanity. Award winners are known for their contributions to the university, society or the church and demonstrate efforts that profoundly improve the quality of life for others.
In addition to maintaining a successful law practice for more than 40 years, Jerry has served on the boards of many community organizations, including the McCoy Community Center for the Arts, Columbus College of Art & Design, Experience Columbus, the Columbus Zoo, the King Arts Complex and the Columbus Museum of Art. Additionally, he is the recipient of other distinguished awards, including the Ohio Diversity Council’s Multicultural Leadership Award and the Columbus Bar Association’s Community Service Award.
