David Stein quoted in Mortgage News Daily on recent minimum wage ruling

Consumer Financial Services Group Chair, David Stein, was quoted in Rob Chrisman's Mortgage News Daily article, "Redwood Trust, Prosper News; Ohio's Take on Minimum Wage for Sales Personnel; CFPB Webinar on TRID." The quote references Haight v. Minchak, a recent case in which the Ohio Supreme Court held that outside sales people are still exempt from minimum wage requirements. According to Stein, “This case was closely watched because Ohio enacted a constitutional amendment in 2006 that provided protections to certain workers that go above and beyond the federal employment standards of the FLSA. The constitutional amendment was poorly worded and left doubt as to whether outside sales employees were or were not exempt from minimum wage standards.”
