Bell featured in Columbus CEO magazine: Law firms with robust economic development practices
Local law firms are rapidly growing their economic development practices, as reported by an article in the Winter 2023 issue of Columbus CEO magazine. Caleb Bell, chair of Bricker’s Public Finance practice group (of which the firm’s economic development practice is a part), shared that due to increasing complexity in Ohio’s property tax laws over the past 15 years, economic development attorneys who once worked nearly exclusively on tax abatement and TIF (tax increment financing) matters are now collaborating with lawyers who have knowledge in many areas of law, including contract, corporate, property and income tax, to name a few. Bell shared that part of his team’s work often involves advising elected officials on economic development projects. To read the full article featuring Caleb, click here, and navigate to page 63.
