Student Confidentiality Laws in Higher Education
Wednesday, June 22, 2022
12:00–1:00 p.m. (CST)
FERPA is the federal law that governs student privacy, but the confidentiality it creates also underpins an educational institution’s relationship with its students. Join Bricker attorneys Jessica Galanos and Melissa Carleton to discuss when FERPA permits or prohibits the release of personally identifiable information from student records, and how FERPA applies in the context of discovery and public records requests.
