On September 22, 2017, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights issued a new Dear Colleague Letter regarding Title IX enforcement and withdrew previous guidance from 2011 and 2014. The announcement created some initial confusion, but now, several months later, we have had time to reflect and, more importantly, observe.
