What GC's, CIOs, CSOs and CPOs need to know about Ohio's new requirements under S.B. 273

Please join us for Bricker & Eckler's Ohio Insurance Cybersecurity Seminar on Ohio Senate Bill 273 (S.B. 273) which becomes enforceable on March 20, 2020. The new law applies to insurance companies and others licensed to operate under Ohio's insurance laws. 

The seminar will feature an overview of the new law and will include two panel discussions to provide perspective on what the law means for Ohio insurance licensees and how to prepare.

Following South Carolina, Ohio was the second state in the country to adopt cybersecurity legislation modeled after the National Association of Insurance Commissioner’s (NAIC) Insurance Data Security Model Law. Other states adopting some form of the NAIC Model Law include Michigan, Mississippi, Alabama, Delaware, Connecticut and New Hampshire. Additionally, Nevada and Rhode Island are currently considering legislation to enact the Model Law.

This program is pending approval from the Supreme Court of Ohio Commission on Continuing Legal Education for 1.5 total CLE hours of instruction.
