Running a TV or radio ad? Be sure to follow these basic rules

As Election Day approaches, last minute television and radio ads tend to increase as candidates, political action committees and other entities rush to get their messages out before votes are cast. Are you planning to run one or more ads related to a candidate or ballot issue? If so, there are several disclaimers — including identification of the ad’s funding source and whether or not the ad was permitted by a candidate — that must be included in each ad that is run.
