Seattle-based Zulily is increasing its investment in central Ohio with the lease of the entire 54,615-square-foot Techcenter IV office building in Gahanna, Columbus Business First reports. The online discount retailer “plans to create more than 1,400 jobs in the region through distribution and call center operations,” according to the article. The move “is a consolidation from 17,000 square feet at 2228 Citygate Drive, between Port Columbus International Airport and Easton, establishing a large Gahanna campus for the company.” Zulily, which specializes in products for babies, children and moms, received tax incentives in 2011 for “its plans to hire 580 workers at a distribution center in Obetz.” The company was awarded another incentives deal in 2014 “with a pledge to create 900 call center jobs”; that incentive was “the second-largest state tax credit awarded in Central Ohio that year.”
