Wright-Patt exploring commercial development of 46 acres
Ohio’s “largest single-site employer,” Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, is looking for collaborators to develop 46 acres of Air Force land, the Dayton Daily News reports. The Air Force Civil Engineer Center and 88th Air Base Wing recently hosted the first “virtual industry exchange” “to explore possible mixed-use commercial development” on two parcels, according to the article. That forum “opens the door to the Air Force’s Enhanced Use Lease program,” which opens federal property to investors or users for projects including hotels, sports complexes, business parks, energy and commercial mixed-use developments.
