William Murdock, the current chief of community services at the Ohio Development Services Agency, has been named the new executive director of the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) following the board’s firing without cause of Chester Jourdan on March 19, 2012, The Columbus Dispatch reports. Murdock served from 2005 to 2008 as deputy director of planning and development for the city of Gahanna, and has also served as director of urban development for the Ohio Department of Development, according to a press release from the agency.
