For the second year in a row, Kenny McDonald, president and chief economic officer of Columbus 2020, has been named to Consultant Connect’s list of the top 50 North American economic developers of the year, The Columbus Dispatch reports. Matt McCollister, senior vice president of Columbus 2020, was also named to the list for 2016. Those recognized on the list “were nominated by their colleagues in the economic-development industry and site-consultant community for excellent practices, innovation and success in building the communities they serve.” Consultant Connect is “an agency that is designed to bridge the gap between developers and site consultants,” according to the article. Columbus 2020 “serves as the economic development organization for the 11-county Columbus Region, working in partnership with state and local partners to generate opportunity and build capacity for economic growth,” according to columbusregion.com.
