Toledo, Maumee and Monclova Township consider expanding JEDZ

Officials from the cities of Toledo, Maumee and Monclova Township are weighing whether to add 18 acres to a 550-acre joint economic development zone (JEDZ), The Blade reports. The zone, which was "created in 2003 to allow for a collection of 1.5 percent income tax from businesses," was dissolved by a judge in 2005 only to be reinstated later by the Ohio Sixth District Court of Appeals.
