The Ohio Tax Credit Authority recently granted Job Creation Tax Credits to four companies that in turn will bring 185 jobs and millions of investment dollars to the Cincinnati area, Cincinnati.com reports. Legend Athletic Wear, a subsidiary of Shanghai-based Legend Sportswear Co. Ltd, is “a sportswear manufacturer targeting the region for its first U.S. manufacturing facility” which “plans to add 80 full-time jobs at an average salary of $25,000.” The company also plans to invest “about $1.4 million in a new facility,” according to the article. Johnna Reeder, president and CEO of REDI Cincinnati, said the group is pleased with the announcement of the incentives, “which represents foreign direct investment from China and examples of investment from smaller, innovative companies with high growth potential, commonly referred to in the industry as ‘gazelles.’” Everything But The House, also known as EBTH, plans an expansion that will include 40 jobs with an average salary of $50,000. The tax incentive will help retain Overland Xpress’s $1.8 million in payroll; the company also plans to create “35 full-time jobs at an average salary of $45, 714.” California-based Stewart Filmscreen Corp. has plans to expand its Clermont County operations with $100,000 in capital investments and 30 new full-time positions with an average salary of $30,000.
