State of Ohio’s employment summary: July 2012

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) released state figures this morning noting that Ohio’s unemployment rate held steady at 7.2 percent in July, unchanged from the month of June. The number of workers unemployed in the state of Ohio in July was 418,000, down from 420,000 in June.

As noted in our August 3 blog post, the U.S. unemployment rate increased slightly from June to July. August 2012 unemployment rates and nonagricultural wage and salary data for Ohio will be released by the ODJFS on Friday, September 21.
