State of Ohio’s Employment Summary: October 2011

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) released state figures this morning noting that Ohio’s unemployment rate was 9.0 percent in October, down from the month of September. The number of workers unemployed in the state of Ohio in October was 526,000, down from 534,000 in September.

As noted in our November 4 blog post, the U.S. unemployment rate for October decreased by 0.1 percent to an even 9.0 percent, which is slightly down from September’s 9.1 percent.
