The Ohio Tax Credit Authority recently approved tax-incentive deals with five companies “promising hundreds of jobs statewide,” Columbus Business First reports. JobsOhio and the Kasich administration “said the companies pledged to create 670 jobs while retaining 1,419”; the projects “represent about $134.8 million in investment, and about $23.19 million in new payroll,” according to the article. Worthington Steel promised 26 jobs that will create $1.5 million in new payroll, and ConAgra Foods pledged 107 new jobs at an additional payroll of $5.4 million (for more on these, see our April 5, 2016 blog post). Pacific Manufacturing Ohio Inc. promised 62 new jobs at a combined payroll of $1.9 million, while StandardAero will create 120 new jobs totaling $26.1 million in new payroll (see our March 31, 2016 blog post).
