Springfield City Commission terminates property tax abatement with the Teikuro Corp. for failing to meet its terms

This week, the Springfield City Commission voted to terminate the 10-year, 60-percent property tax abatement it had awarded to Teikuro Corp. because the company failed to meet pledged commitments with respect to hiring and capital investments, Springfield News-Sun reports. Approved in 2008, the abatement was contingent upon the company creating 25 jobs, retaining 92 others and investing $2.8 million at its facility in the Prime Ohio Corporate Park.
