Two power plants fueled by natural gas could be built in Lordstown, Ohio over the next six years, resulting in an investment of more than $1 billion, reports the Youngstown Business Journal. Citing comments by an official with a building and construction trades council, the newspaper says Massachusetts-based Clean Energy Future LLC, which is backing construction of an $850 million gas-fired power plant in Lordstown, is considering building a sister plant on the same site along Henn Parkway. Clean Energy Future President Bill Siderewicz told the Business Journal that ground should be broken on the first project by April 1, 2016, but he did not confirm whether a second plant would be built at the site.
