According to data from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS), Ohio's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 7.4 percent in September and 7.5 percent in October, up from 7.3 percent in August. The U.S. unemployment rate was 7.2 percent in September and 7.3 percent in October, up from 6.9 percent in October 2012. The number of unemployed workers in Ohio was 425,000 in September and 427,000 in October, up from 419,000 in August.
