Ohio's unemployment rate holds steady at 7.2 percent in July

According to data released by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS), Ohio's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for July was unchanged from its June rate of 7.2 percent. The U.S. unemployment rate dropped from 7.6 percent in June to 7.4 percent in July, which is down from 8.2 percent in July 2012. The number of unemployed workers in Ohio increased 3,000 from June to 416,000. During that time, the state's nonagricultural wage and salary employment increased 5,300.
