The Conference Board, a nonprofit economic research organization, found that Ohio ranks third in the nation for the number of skilled factory jobs posted between July 14 and August 13, 2012, CNNMoney reports. Ohio had 14,202 postings, behind Texas’ 15,420 and California’s 20,352 postings. The federal government’s bailout of the auto industry; states “aggressively courting local and international manufacturers… [with] tax breaks and other lucrative incentives;” and rising labor and raw material costs in China are “driving the surge in demand for skilled workers,” the article said.
