Ohio ranks fifth in the nation for drop in unemployment

Based on seasonally adjusted data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, The Business Journals found that Ohio ranks fifth in the nation for its drop in unemployment from 8.8 percent in August 2011 to 7.2 percent in August 2012. The District of Columbia, Florida and Nevada tied for second place with a 1.7 percent drop, while Mississippi experienced the largest unemployment rate drop in the nation with 1.8 percent, the article said.
