The Senate unanimously passed an amended version of S.B. 1 last week, creating the OhioMeansJobs Workforce Development Revolving Loan Program and using $25 million from the $200 million in casino licensing fees allocated to economic development to establish a fund for the program, according to the Gongwer Ohio Report. The Board of Regents will administer the program, which will allow public and private colleges, universities, and career centers to apply "for up to $100,000 total and individual student loans would be capped at $10,000 annually."
