State legislators in the Ohio House of Representatives will be forming the 21st Century Manufacturing Task Force in order to address ways to improve the state’s manufacturing competitiveness, Columbus Business First reports. House Speaker Bill Batchelder indicated that in order to gather information on a variety of manufacturing issues, the task force will hold five public hearings across the state. Issues the task force aims to address are “identifying resources to help the industry, impediments that curtail manufacturing and unique characteristics of each section of the state that could spur new manufacturing opportunities,” the article said.
