The Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) recently announced that the application period for Round 9 of the Ohio Historic Preservation Tax Credit program is now underway and a total of “$30 million in tax credit allocation is currently available” for applicants, according to a press release from the department. The program — which is administered by ODOD’s Office of Redevelopment with assistance from the Ohio Department of Taxation, the Ohio Historical Society and the Ohio Historic Preservation Office — provides a tax credit of 25 percent for historic rehabilitation projects. Applications must be submitted to the Ohio Historic Preservation Office by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 1, 2012.
