OML and OMAA hosting HB 233 webinar on July 8

On Friday, July 8, 2016, from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Bricker attorneys Chris Schmenk and Rob McCarthy will present “HB 233 – Creating Municipal Downtown Redevelopment Districts and Innovation Districts,” a webinar hosted by the Ohio Municipal League (OML) and the Ohio Municipal Attorneys Association (OMAA).

HB 233, which was recently signed into law, will provide new tools to promote the redevelopment of downtowns. Chris and Rob will share information on new property tax exemptions and charges that can fund redevelopment, including historic areas and innovation districts with high-speed internet connectivity to attract and retain technology businesses. Also, attendees will discover how the bill expands charitable use exemptions for historic and other nonprofit projects.

This webinar is limited to 30 registrants. Municipalities are encouraged to offer the webinar to multiple city officials in a conference room setting. There is a flat fee of $75 for each hosting municipality. No CLE credit is available. For more information and to register, click here or contact cgrant@omlohio.org.
