Newly formed Ohio Facilities Construction Commission is now operational

The newly formed Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC), which merges the operations of the Ohio School Facilities Commission (OSFC) and the State Architect’s Office, commenced last month with its first meeting at the statehouse, according to a press release from the State Architect’s Office. The three-member OFCC includes Commission Chair Tim Keen, director of the Office of Budget and Management; Commission Vice Chair Bob Blair, director of the Department of Administrative Services; and Gary Mohr, director of the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. Richard M. Hickman is serving as executive director of the new commission. According to the release, OFCC approved resolutions that will make it responsible “for construction delivery methods, construction documents, and process and procedures” and able to “approve, award and administer design, construction and other specialty contracts.” For more, read the press release.
