New partnership aims to boost exports from Appalachian-based businesses

In an effort to boost exports from Appalachian-based businesses, Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) Federal Co-Chair Earl F. Grohl and Deputy Director General of the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service Charles A. Ford recently signed an export promotion partnership, Portsmouth Daily Times reports. The partnership will utilize training seminars and support services to “increase awareness among small and medium-sized firms about exporting,” and will “expand global awareness of Appalachian goods and services” through promotion and market development projects, the article said.
