New auto parts plant in Englewood will bring 100 jobs to Montgomery County

Montgomery County commissioners recently approved $400,000 in funding to help bring a new auto parts production facility to Englewood, the Dayton Daily News reports. Ferguson Construction is expected to break ground June 6 for the “new U.S. headquarters” of Hematite, an Ontario-based plastics producer. Hematite president John Pavanel told Montgomery County leaders that the site “has room for a second building — one that could process raw material” and said that all new jobs created would be local. County leaders approved the funding “with the expectation that the company would employ at least 100 people,” but Englewood’s development director, Bill Singer, “believes that number is conservative.”
