National settlement with mortgage servicers funds unprecedented rate of demolition and reclamation across Ohio
An "unprecedented rate of demolition is happening all across Ohio" as communities make sweeping efforts to "tear down blighted buildings and build back neighborhoods," Cincinnati.com reports. The efforts are funded by the more than $75 million the counties received for these efforts as part of the state's share of a "$25 billion national settlement with mortgage servicers stemming from the housing collapse."
