National employment summary: February 2012
The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released data today stating that nationally, non-farm payroll employment rose by 227,000 in February; however, the unemployment rate was unchanged from last month at 8.3 percent. BLS noted that private sector employment rose in the areas of professional and business services, leisure and hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing, and mining.
February 2012 unemployment rates and nonagricultural wage and salary data for Ohio will be released by the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services (ODJFS) on Friday, March 23, 2012. This information and the monthly statistical summaries it is based on are also available here.
