Cheri Hottinger, president and CEO of the Licking County Chamber of Commerce, wrote a recent Newark Advocate article about the variety of housing, educational, business and leisure options that make the area stand out from many other communities. Describing a recent tour with an out-of-state guest who requested an overview of the community, Hottinger noted that housing options range “from country settings to Granville, a college town, to Newark, the state’s 19th largest city.” Additionally, educational opportunities range from the K-12 school systems to public and private higher education institutions including The Ohio State University, Denison University and Central Ohio Technical College. Companies such as The Dow Chemical Company, The Boeing Company, State Farm Insurance and Bayer MaterialScience (now known as Covestro), among others, make up a diverse business community. Leisure activities include local and college athletic events, and Hottinger called the Dawes Arboretum one of the must-see places for visitors. Hottinger concluded, “Licking County has something to offer everyone . . . It is a wonderful place for families and a great place to do business. We truly have it all!” For more, read the full article.
