While the $350 million Liberty Center grand opening is weeks away, one of the project developers, Steiner + Associates, is already laying groundwork to expand future development, the Dayton Daily News reports. Steiner has reached a deal to buy about 18 acres from Great Traditions Land & Development Co.; if the deal closes, “it will bring the total acres under Steiner control in Liberty and West Chester townships to about 118 acres.” The first phase of the project “encompasses just over 1 million-square-feet of new development spread across approximately 65 acres,” and Steiner already owns another 35 acres for future expansion. The developer has planning approval to build over 2.5 million square feet, according to Steiner senior development executive Justin Leyda. Liberty Center held its second career fair on September 2 with approximately 50 companies participating. Dillard’s and Dick’s Sporting Goods both plan to open on October 8, and a grand opening celebration for the complex will take place October 22. For more, read the full article.
