JobsOhio's recently released 2013 annual report shows that a "strong fourth quarter of new job commitments and capital investments boosted [the agency's] overall performance last year," The Columbus Dispatch reports. 2013 was the first year that the agency "had control over the state's wholesale liquor-revenue stream for use for development," and the report indicated that the agency finished 2013 with "nearly $179 million in assets and having secured commitments for 17,856 new jobs and $739 million in payroll for the state."
