Ohio Board of Regents Chancellor Jim Petro will retire on February 1, 2013, after a 30-year career in public service that included “stints as Ohio Attorney General and Ohio Auditor, as well as a run for governor in 2006,” Columbus Business First reports. Although retiring, Petro plans to work actively toward his goal that 60-65 percent of Ohioans have a degree by 2025 (up from 26 percent this year). His successor has not been named, the article said.
