Jefferson County creates port authority
Officials have elected to abolish the inactive port authority for the city of Steubenville in favor of a new nine-member port authority for Jefferson County, an article in The Herald Star reports. Progress Alliance, the area's private-public economic development group, will continue to operate and will eventually come under the control of the new port authority, the article said.
