On Wednesday, the Ohio House of Representatives passed Am. Sub. H.B. 483 along party lines. After undergoing changes in the House Finance & Appropriations Committee earlier this week, the bill passed the House 57-33, according to the Gongwer Ohio Report. Part of the mid-biennium budget review (MBR), Am. Sub. H.B. 483 would allow communities to apply PILOT payments to “the provision of gas or electric service facilities owned by nongovernmental entities when such improvements are determined to be necessary for economic development purposes.” For more, read the full text of Am.
