Grandview Heights and Clinton Township create a Joint Economic Development Zone (JEDZ)

Last week, Grandview Heights City Council approved an agreement between the city and Clinton Township to create a Joint Economic Development Zone, Tri-Village News reports. The proposed 30-year agreement would have the city implement and collect its 2.5 percent income tax on businesses located in the township. The township, which under state law cannot collect an income tax, would receive 80 percent and the city 20 percent of the total remaining after administrative and collection expenses are paid, the article said.
