Fulton County businesses granted tax credits to create 133 total new jobs

Two of the largest employers in Fulton County will together be adding over 130 new jobs through expansion projects that received tax credits, The Toledo Blade reports. ConAgra Foods Inc. “plans to expand its packaged food plant in Archbold, a project that will add 107 jobs,” according to the article. Dan Hare, a spokesperson for ConAgra, said the company “has decided to shut down a plant in Trenton, Mo., and shift that production to Archbold.” That expansion is projected to generate additional annual payroll of $5.4 million. Worthington Industries spokesperson Sonya Higginbotham said that company plans to “spend $11.6 million to expand the capacity of its galvanizing line at [the company’s] Fulton County facility by 20 percent.” The 26 jobs created by the expansion are expected to generate $1.5 million in annual payroll. Higginbotham said the processing line is at capacity but “has opportunities for more business.” The Ohio Tax Credit Authority granted job creation tax credits to both projects.
