Federal government misses small business sourcing targets
For the past few years, the federal government has failed to meet its targets in awarding federal contracting work to small businesses and companies owned by women and service-disabled veterans, the Dayton Business Journal reports. “Last year, the federal government awarded 21.7 percent of its federal contracting dollars to small businesses, once again falling short of its 23 percent goal for small business procurement,” the article said.
